Final Cut Pro was definitely a little overwhelming, but Jay explained the basics very well. For me, it seems as though it must take months, probably years to master this software, but just learning the basics can help in producing well edited videos. I have become accustomed to iMovie, and Final Cut Pro seems to blow iMovie out of the water.
Jay did a great job in letting us play around with the effects, transitions, etc. and pausing us to teach us more features of the software. One thing I could not really understand is the use of audio in Final Cut Pro. I have learned how audio works and can be edited in iMovie, but I did not get a good grasp of it in Final Cut Pro.
It is going to take a lot of time to become accustomed to this software, but because of its many capabilities, I am excited to learn more about all of its features.
